Unlink suspended account
What this task is
The platform creates this task when a suspended account (or one that didn't respond to a budget order verification) needs to be removed from a manager account hierarchy, and the automatic unlink didn't finish. The operator's job is to unlink it manually in Google Ads.
When it appears: automatic unlink of a suspended or unresponsive account failed.
Step 1. Open the task
- Go to the Operators' Tasks page.
- Find the task in the table and click Execute Task at the end of its row.
- A modal opens with the task details and the account context. Keep it open — you'll need these values.
Step 2. Unlink in Google Ads
- From the manager account, unlink the client account on the Accounts page.
- If you're working from the client account instead, use Admin to remove the manager link.

Step 3. Verify and close
Do not close the task early. Close it only after the account is no longer linked to this manager account.
- Confirm the account no longer appears under the manager.
- Return to the task modal and resolve it with a successful outcome.
- If the unlink cannot be completed, resolve the task with a failed outcome and a short reason instead.
