Ads node rename manual

What this task is​

The platform creates this task when an automatic rename of a Google Ads account or MCC couldn't apply the new name. The operator's job is to rename the account manually in Google Ads.

When it appears: the automatic rename step failed to apply the target name.

Step 1. Open the task​

  1. Go to the Operators' Tasks page.
  2. Find the task in the table and click Execute Task at the end of its row.
  3. A modal opens with the task details and the target name. Keep it open — you'll need these values.

Step 2. Rename in Google Ads​

  1. For a manager account, rename it via Admin → Manager account settings.
  2. For a client account, rename it on the Accounts page via Edit.

Step 3. Verify and close​

Do not close the task early. Close it only after the target name is saved.

  1. Confirm the account now shows the expected name.
  2. Return to the task modal and resolve it with a successful outcome.
  3. If the rename cannot be applied, resolve the task with a failed outcome and a short reason instead.
